Bliss Munitions Equipment Acquires Assets of The Baird Machinery Corporation
KENTWOOD, MICH. – June 2, 2026 – Bliss Munitions Equipment, LLC (“BME”), a leading provider of ammunition manufacturing systems and integrated production solutions, through an affiliate, has acquired assets (including names) of The Baird Machinery Corporation. With a long-standing global reputation in high-speed transfer presses and precision metal forming systems, the Connecticut-based manufacturer brings a legacy of expertise that complements BME’s existing capabilities. Following the acquisition, it will conduct business as U.S. Baird LLC, an affiliate of Bliss Munitions Equipment, LLC (“U.S. Baird”).
The acquisition marks a significant strategic milestone for BME as the company continues expanding its vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities across the defense and industrial /commercial production sectors. By combining BME’s expertise in ammunition production systems with the seller’s legacy in precision transfer press technology, BME is positioned to deliver enhanced manufacturing solutions supporting both legacy and next-generation production requirements.
With history dating back to 1872, The Baird Machinery Corporation has long been recognized for its transfer press systems used in high-volume precision forming applications across multiple industries. The integration of its engineering capabilities and installed global machine base further strengthens BME’s ability to support customers requiring scalable, high-throughput production technologies.

In affiliation with BME, the U.S. Baird brand will continue operating in support of commercial customers.
As manufacturing requirements continue evolving alongside accelerated technological advancement, the acquisition positions BME to take a more forward-looking role in the future of high-speed precision deep draw technology. Increasing global demand for scalable production, modernization, and manufacturing resilience is driving renewed interest in advanced transfer press technologies capable of delivering consistent, repeatable output at high speeds. Standalone, U.S. Baird LLC, an affiliate of Bliss Munitions Equipment, LLC will provide turnkey solutions in tool design and build, equipment rebuilds, spare parts, and service.
